Resident Dave Lattimore recently planted a new front lawn and erected lines with plastic bags in order to keep the birds away.
A few nights later, some rather odd ?bird? droppings appeared hanging on the lines: women?s underwear! First out were a pair of black knickers, neatly pegged to the line. Gradually they were joined by an assortment of other under garments; each left anonymously in the dead of night.
"Every second day some more appear," Mr Lattimore says. "I figure if I leave it long enough I'll have some matching sets. Either that or do the Cinderella thing and go knocking on doors to ask if we can see what fits."
His neighbours are also enjoying the mystery; Mr Roy Wood remarked, ?"People must walk past and drop their knickers? They're like that around here." He doesn?t fancy assisting in the Cinderella survey though: "Some of this is more ugly sister stuff," he said, fingering a very large black bra. "It's been designed for an elephant."
