At Draper’s inaugural Etail Awards held at Sketch nightclub in London last night, Mio Destino www.miodestino.co.uk was awarded the Best Marketing Initiative Etail Award. Shortlisted alongside established companies as Oasis, Warehouse, Simply Yours and AussieBum, as a relatively young company, Mio Destino lingerie, was thrilled to have been successful in this category.
Mio Destino lingerie was recognized for their innovation marketing. Drapers quoted “this independent etailer of women’s lingerie doesn’t miss a trick. It frequently uses fast-moving and imaginative guerrilla marketing campaigns to capitalise on media events and cultural movements, which in turn lead to acres of column inches and increased sales.”
Judges for the event consisted of Drapers’ Editor Lauretta Roberts, as well as Vogue.com’s Leisa Barnett, Google’s Peter Fitzgerald, Rob Jones of Harvey Nicholls, Simeon Lando of PayPal, Leon Bailey Green and others. Other etailers taking home awards included ASOS.com and my-wardrobe.com.
