Everyone can picture Kylie Minogue’s showgirl corset outfit from her 2006 ‘Showgirl: The Homecoming’ tour with its spectacular blue feather headdress. This tour saw Kylie taking over the stage all across Australia and the UK but she had never had the chance to take her tour to the US. However, she finally got the chance on 30th September when she opened her ‘For You For Me’ tour in Oakland, California. Kylie gained fame in the US in 2001 after her hit single ‘Can’t get you out of my head’ became a chart topper all over the world.
Kylie entered the stage wearing a futuristic silver corset with a dominatrix tough girl look. She had a wreath of miniature planets encircling her head and made her entrance standing on a huge metallic skull. The corset shows that, as always, Kylie can pull off anything with style. She had many costume changes on the show, mainly with items she chose herself from the designer Jean-Paul Gaultier’s autumn/winter 09/10 collection. She oozed glamour in a floor length shimmering halter neck dress and a short, sexy black outfit with leather gloves and waistcoat.
Although the US hasn’t treated Kylie with such high superstar status as the UK, she seemed excited and happy to be there, saying as she entered the stage, “Well, good evening, finally. All this anticipation on my part!”
