How To Select The Best Swimsuit For Your Body Type
You lucky thing! A smaller bust can wear the most daring of swimwear, from bandeau, frilly to simple triangle tops. If you're self conscious about your bust (don't be!) you can try padded styles to give you that little extra bit of confidence. You are lucky enough to be able to wear some of our “string-ier” styles like Argentovivo's Must Bikini, Moontide's Juniper Groove Trim Top or any Moontide “tie top” styles. Flaunt your fabulous ability to wear some of the most exciting new styles around- try Aubade's 'Destination Soleil in Cuba Gold' or Moontide's 'safari collection' bandeau bikini, all you need now is a fantastic sun kissed glow to match!
If you have a larger bust, triangle bikini tops are probably not going to give you enough support, especially if you're active on the beach!
Therefore, any of the Marlies Dekkers 'moulded cup' range are going to work for you and give you that extra little bit of support. Moontide has an extensive selection of larger cup style this summer, which will make you feel so sexy on the sand!
Real women have a tummy!
If yours is your 'problem' area, and is something that you want to draw attention away from, try opting for full bathing suits and focus on other areas.
Go for one of the Miraclesuit options which claim to help you “Lose 10 pounds in 10 minutes”, or Moontide's 'Lava Coffee' solids halter bathing suit, it's even reversible so you get two for the price of one! The sexy halter top will draw attention upwards from your tummy to your brilliant cleavage. Another great option is a cami top to hide any lumps or bumps, such as this Moontide Frolic or Sweet Pea top.
If your hips are narrow and look disproportionate to the rest of your body, try filling that area out with low slung swimsuit of bikini bottoms. Boy styles shorts look great on this body shape, as do bottoms with little skirts or added frills- you can afford to draw attention to this area!
Take a look at these boy shorts: Moontide Ibiza, Moontide Frolic Banded, Marlies Dekkers boy short. For sweet skirts, we recommend the Moontide Lava skirt or the Aquarius skirt.
Contrary to popular belief, if you have a larger thigh, you should steer clear of boy shorts- they cut you leg off at a point which makes your thighs seem larger than they are and your legs seem shorter.
To make your legs look longer and slimmer, go for higher cut style briefs, such as Marlies Dekkers 'Blue Lagoon' bikini briefs, Moontide’s banded pant or any of the several tie pant styles.
If your bottom is something that you wish to draw attention from, try a boy short, which will cover the area and leave you without the worry of a dreaded 'bottom munch' on your bikini briefs!
Marlies Dekker has done a fabulous 'water wheel' boy short, with a matching sexy top. You're going to sizzle! Also, see the Moontide Ibiza Hipster or Trio Frolic Boy short.
