Forget About Joining the Mile High Club on the New Airbus

Lingerie No Mile High Club On Airbus

Joining the mile high club is probably on the to-do lists of most men (and a fair few women I imagine) so the news today that the new super Airbus A380 set is to be a “no sex zone” will have been a disappointment to many.

Even more surprising is the fact the plane has 12 private suites…read more

An Autumn Vacation in Normandy, France

Lingerie Normandy France Holiday

One of the most evocative and historic regions of France is the département of ‘Normandie’ or as we say in English, ‘Normandy’.

This northern region of France has much to offer either in season or from autumn though to springtime. The countryside is sparsely wooded and interspersed with lush farmland, bustling market towns and historic cities. It’s dramatic 360 mile coastline, granite cliffs in the west and limestone cliffs in the east, boarders the English Channel and it is from here that William the conqueror came on his conquest of England in 1066AD. In the beautiful town of Bayeaux can be found, a truly historic and immense chronicle of that event known as the ‘Bayeux tappestry’.

It was this region that also saw the largest military landing in history. It took place in Normandy on June 6, 1944 and sombre monuments, museums, bunkers and cemeteries cover the region.
Perched high on a 264-foot high rocky islet is the…read more

Winter Bikinis

Lingerie_Argentovivo_Bikinis

Bikinis for the winter

Rain. More rain. Showers. Downpours. Heavy rain. And then, finally… more rain.

Safe to say, it’s been a wet summer here in the UK. Let’s face it: it’s been rubbish. In April I bought a gorgeous new bikini. I anticipated many long, lazy sunny days lying by lakes and lidos, going a vague shade of what I call brown, but others may refer to as pink.

Instead my stunning bikini has been lying morosely in a drawer whilst I’ve been adorning my un-tanned body with jeans, jackets, scarves and – I shudder to admit it – Wellington boots.

We despaired for a while, my bikini and I, but now I’ve taken matters into my own hands…read more

Vancouvers Beach Bare Buns Run

Lingerie_Naked_Beach_Run

You have to admire the capacity of mankind to invent strange events across the globe – and they don’t come much stranger than the Wreck Beach Bare Buns Run (try saying that quickly, or when drunk) which takes place in Vancouver every year.

Competitors run a 5km race on a beach, totally…read more

Romantic Paris – What to do and where to do it

eiffel-towerpic.jpg

Paris is, quite simply, romance.

Every street corner oozes charm; every park bench seats a dreamy-eyed couple – and every restaurant, café and hotel is eager to squeeze as much money as possible from gullible lovers.

So… here are Top 10 Tips for a romantic Paris weekend, sans le tourist traps.

1. A lovely place to start any Paris sojourn is the Rodin Museum, possibly the loveliest garden in the city. Situated on Rue de Varenne, admission is £4 and the museum opens at 9.30am.

2. Why not indulge in a…read more

Britain’s Top 10 Picnic Spots

picnic_300×1931.jpg

In the hope of a sunny August (fingers crossed, touch wood etc), here’s a list of Britain’s top picnic spots, as recommended by the Waitrose website.

1. Mottisfont Abbey Garden (Near Romsey, Hampshire )
Though Mottisfont’s pride – the National Collection of Old-Fashioned Roses – tends to be at its best in July, this year’s weird weather may have delayed their bloom somewhat. Even if you miss the roses’ prime, you will enjoy the gorgeous gardens and the beautiful house. Perfect for an evening’s Jane Austen re-enactment…read more

Sailing for a summer holiday

sailing

Sailing is highly confusing for the beginner. Port and Starboard (left and right), all those different knots and technical jargon – it can seem rather daunting. But the sheer enjoyment of it is worth the hassle.
